Oh Lord !

Turn your Heavenly look
onto this realm,
Your graceful creation,
humankind that You Yourself begot
descend again into our souls !
Mend, oh Lord,
each dimwit creature
who kills today,
each madman
harming children,
the mindless ones
who blow up
churches and synagogues,
who dynamite human bodies,
those who are spiritless
sacrificing us by absurdly sacrificing themselves,
the cannibals of our civilization,
wild creatures
feeding on innocent beings !

Oh Lord,
Do not yet lit
the wick of human Apocalypse
show not the power
of our entrenched devils
and pass not onto us
the demons’ perverse atrocities !

Stick with us, oh Lord,
Be our Father, here,
on this Earth
in our houses
and our minds
and forgive us again
now
and every day.
Amen !
